DIBS & APPEARANCES

Here you will find a comprehensive listing of the characters whom writers have plans for in either current or upcoming stories. If you are a new writer looking to propose a series, please check this list first to see if the characters you would like to use are available. If they're not, please contact the writer who has the character dibbed to request that character's use before you submit a proposal (if you submit a proposal without checking the dibs list first, we're just going to ask you to do it anyway, so save yourself some time). Also, please use your browser's Find feature to search for your character by their real name, as some characters have codenames which differ from their Marvel counterparts (for example, in our continuity Thunderbird [Neal Shaara] is known as Shiva).

In the past, dibs have been listed on this page but recently, the decision was made to switch to a spreadsheet format. It's not as pretty to look at, but it's far easier to maintain. Please be sure to check out not only the dibs list, but also the list of dead characters. Although MO does not have a strict "dead is dead" rule, we ask you to use resurrections sparingly.

Please also note that an asterisk (*) next to a character's name indicates that this is a creator-owned character.
