A founding member of the New Mutants, Sam Guthrie possesses the mutant ability to generate thermochemical energy and release it from his body. This allows him to fly at superhuman speeds as well as generates a nearly-impenetrable forcefield around his body. As a member of X-Force, the X-Men and most-recently the Avengers, Cannonball has been a student of Professor X, Magneto, Cable and Captain America and taken the best all they have had to offer. Now, he has returned to the Xavier Institute as a teacher to the next generation. |
